Other milld bridgeport would require some maintenance but the Beaver Mill soldiered on. he always sid it was one of the best made I ran a Beaver mill Large Model years ago and it was smooth and ran nice.

Hi All, I have recently aquired a slotting head from Rob to fit to my Bridgeport mill, as per usual one job leads to another. Firstly the ram was solid when I tried to move it and I had to slide it to be able to swivel the head to fit the slotter, the slotting head was off a beaver mill and slightly different to the Brigeport mounting so a hole in the ram casting had to be enlarged.

I have just purchased a milling machine made by Balding Engineering, the maker of Beaver machines, named a "PAL", bought a manual from Tony in England and found out there was very little published about the machines. Tony said the machines were made up from pieces from runs making the "VBRP" model just before they shut down.
